European Congress of Speech and Language Therapy, May 2018
The BioVisualSpeech FCT.UNL and ESSA team members participated in the 10th CPLOL Congress (European Congress of Speech and Language Therapy), Estoril, Portugal. The ESSA team was also in the congress Scientific Committee.

EXPO FCT
EXPO FCT is an open house day at FCT/UNL in which high school students from all over the country come to visit the university. Each department offers a set of activities, which consist of demonstrations of the work developed at the university.

BioVisualSpeech participated in Futurália, Feira de Educação, Formação e Orientação Educativa, at FIL, Lisboa. Futulália is the biggest exhibition of education and higher education in Portugal.

BioVisualSpeech FCT.UNL team members work on a serious game for the sustained vowel exercise received the Best Poster Award at the International Conference on Advances in Computer Entertainment Technology, Osaka, Japan.

iTF - 3rd Speech Therapy Symposium/III Simpósio de Terapia da Fala, Nov 2016
The team members Margarida Grilo and Isabel Guimarães were part of the organizing committee for the 3rd Speech Therapy Symposium, with the theme "The new technologies in speech therapy". The symposium's goal was to discuss the impact of the technologic evolution in therapy intervention and future diagnosis.
The following presentations and demonstrations were given by the team members Carla Viegas, Marta Lopes and Ivo Anjos:
- Carla Viegas presented "Intelligent personal assistantes: How na IPA could improve your workflow as a speech therapist".
- Marta Lopes presented "A voice-controlled serious game for the sustained vowel exercise" and demonstrated her work at the TECH Market show.
- Ivo Anjos demonstrated his work on "Intensive therapy: games for training fricative consonants at home" at the TECH Market show.
